ScraperWall – Content Defender – The Firewall For Your Content – Update 1

Several days ago I posted about things you can do to protect your content. In that specific post i had also mentioned a tool called ScraperWall that is supposed to help you fighting the robots that steal your content and your hard work.
Will ScraperWall be released soon in the near future?
… as it is with cool innovative new things, they sometimes delay a liiitle bit.
ScraperWall is not done yet, as i had planned but i am proud to announce that the core-functions have been completed by 99%. All thinkable sceneries have been tested and the alpha tests show that everything works as planned. Yeaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaah
Bad bots and scrapers had been banned while Search Engine Spiders and normal visitors had been granted access to the content and pages.
What is missing is a nice and neat easy to use Admin-Panel that makes it easy for you to control all the settings, black and white lists of ScraperWall.
Next to awesome Ajax-Techniques there are Stats features and more that is being planned to surprise you.
Originally i had not planned to create an Administration-Interface, but since i recognized that there are so many people that need something like ScraperWall to protect all their content, i decided to create the admin-panel. That having – you do not have to be a programmer to use ScraperWall, more likely it will be plug and play.
Well ihope your are looking forward to the first release of ScraperWall. If you want to be a Beta-Tester of the script, you are very welcome, just drop a quick note.

P.S. The Alpha-Test have shown tha using ScraperWall not just protects your content but also keeps a lot of comment-spammers out.
