How can you decrease the amount of spam-emails that hit your virtual mailbox each and every day?

Protect your email address from being scraped

First thing you should do is making sure your email address can not be copied and scraped by content scrapers and email harvester.

Do that by making sure that:

You never have a written out email on your page anywhere!
Better use something like:
1. john at doe . com
2. john[at]doe[dot]com
3. insert an image that has your email on it -> email is not in the source code
Make sure your content can not be scraped at all by catching and trapping bad bots

Who else knows and has done that …
