How Mind Maps Can Help Your Wallet – Part1

Hey guys,

… in nowadays “information age” where tons of information hit our brain with almost no break it has become an important ability to filter information and separate it into important infos as well as unimportant ones.

Knowledge through MindMaps means Power

At the first glance that may seem easy but taking a look behind the curtain it actually is not. To get the most out of every reading, tutorial, strategy or anything else it is important to have an overview about it. Only if this overview exists and the data/information is broken up into structured parts that relate to each other, it can be assured that you REMEMBER all those things for a long time to come. The more you remember the more knowledge you have about certain things … and as a idiom says – A lot of knowledge means being “mighty”, it also means the more you know the higher the chances of having a “bigger wallet”. :-)

But this is just an interpretation – however … I like to know a lot and I think you may too … that is why I will give you a couple hints and techniques that you can use to gain more knowledge about new things fast.

Generally, when we use mind maps, we use them for keeping notes, organizing thoughts, developing concepts or ideas for essays, research, stories, etc.  They are basically another brainstorming tool along with lists, outlines, etc.

History of MMs

Historically, mind maps have been used in learning, brainstorming, memory, visual thinking, and problem solving by various members of the society who are looking to find a visual way of putting their ideas together.  A Wikipedia entry states that some of the earliest examples of mind mapping were first discovered developed by a fellow named Porphyry of Tyros in the 3rd century and also used by philosopher Ramon Llull.  Later in the 1950s, Allan M. Collins (who is considered to be the father of modern mind mapping) advanced the concept of the idea by using it as a modern tool so he could understand human learning and development through this ancient invention.

However, British psychologist Tony Buzan  Read the rest of this entry »

FTP - Programs

Having an easy to use and affordable, feature rich program to assist you at your file transfer processes is a must have and I was searching and comparing days to finally find my personal best choice. FTP (File Transfer Protocol) programs are a means to transfer files from one place to another.

Typically it is used to transfer files from a local computer to a remote computer, server or the Internet. Website designers often use FTP programs to upload completed files to their webhost so they can view their newly created designs.

The six FTP programs that lead the market are …. hmmm… wait a second not all FTP programs are created equally. It is important to compare various programs to see which ones suit your needs.
